Community Kitchen

Additional Information

Community Kitchens are small groups of people cooking together to pool  their knowledge, skills, energy and resources to make nutritious meals  for their families.

In a supportive, fun atmosphere the participants develop skills  that enable them to better meet the nutritional needs of their families.   Working within a budget, the group plans and prepares four to five  meals each month. (Pre-registration is required)

Learn and share information about nutrition, cost effective meals, shopping tips and healthy cooking methods.

Anyone interesed in participating or supporting this "Community Kitchen"  concept is invited to attend.  Similar projects across the country have  been very successful and helpful; especially for people who are short  on time, low-income families, seniors or single people that just don't  like to cook for themselves.

For more information or to register to participate in an upcoming kitchen call F.C.S.S at 403-843-2030
